NNN Special Broadcast (sometimes pronounced as NNN Rinji hōsō, NNN臨時放送 or Nippon News Network Special Broadcast) is a Japanese urban legend concerning a subject of late-night television broadcast. The story goes that late one night, a man went to turn on his television, only to find nothing but static. Suddenly, coloured bars appeared on screen. Followed by an image of some factory, and a scrolling list of names. This went on for several minutes, before ending with text, saying something along the lines of "This is towards the future" or "These are tomorrow's victims". The broadcast would suddenly end, and static resumed.

On August 2nd, 2007, a video by the name of NNN臨時放送 was uploaded by DarkYKnighT, referencing everything that was included in the legend. It is also well known for briefly including Jeff the Killer, a popular and famous creepypasta on the internet. It did reignite the search for the original Jeff the Killer image. The video accurately follows the first part, and even throws in some spooky imagery and sounds. But it's merely a fan-made recreation, and obviously inspired by the legend. At the end, there is even text saying so, and that all the names are fictional. To this day, the video has claimed over 2.1 million views.
